God-Sized Dreams

Last night I had a heart-to-heart conversation with a friend that I admire and respect beyond words. This conversation led to some heavy realizations for me. Being a business owner has opened my eyes to so many decisions and situations, not all easy to handle. A few things that have been consistent since I began this journey is my hunger for education, willingness to become a better photographer and businesswoman and my God-sized dreams. The same ones that keep me going, reminding me along the way to never settle.

I may not have all the answers (yet) but I know in my heart that I’m ready and willing to do what it takes to realize my dreams.

I came across this image on Instagram and I must thank Promise for sharing it. It was perfect timing. I plan to print this out and hang it in my office as a beautiful daily reminder.

Where I’ve been | Dominican Republic

I don’t know where to begin to describe last week. It’s still a blur of airplanes, delicious food, and laughter. Lots of laughter. When my dear and super-talented amiga, Kathy Romero, invited me to the Dominican Republic, I couldn’t have imagined the beauty, friendships, and experiences that awaited. I’ve been to previous Inspire Smart Success experiences, as an attendee in Orlando, Fl and as an exclusive photographer in Cancun, Mexico and every experience has brought new friends, inspiration and clarity. It’s a wonderful experience when the industry’s finest gather in an open and creative environment, where being inspired and soaking in words of wisdom comes as naturally as breathing.

In between catching up in the office after being away for 8 days and photo sessions this week, I look forward on reflecting over my notes and unforgettable experiences. I can’t wait to share my experience- Dominican style- on the blog in the next few weeks; but for now, I leave you with one of the precious scenes I saw daily while in DR.

Chelsea Senior Session | Tampa Senior Photographers

In addition to shooting weddings and creative editorials, senior sessions are among our favorite type of shoots. The creativity, fashion and unique personalities make for an awesome combination.

Khaled and I are always honored when other photographers book our services. We see it as one of the highest compliments, so you can imagine our excitement when Chelsea contacted us for her senior portraits. Chelsea is a graphic designer/photographer graduating from the same university I attended, the University of Tampa, and is already making things happen! Her sweet personality and infectious smile are beautiful attributes and we had an amazing time getting to know more about Chelsea and her future aspirations. We look forward to working again with her…maybe in DC, right Chelsea?? ;)

Happy Sunday! I recently second-shot with a fellow photographer for the first time and it was a great experience. Morgan + John | Engagement Session | Tampa Wedding Photographers

From the first few seconds of meeting Morgan and John, I knew they were a fun couple. What I didn’t know, was that their family was just as fun. A couple of weeks ago, we met for Morgan and John’s engagement session and had a wonderful time getting to know them. Thoughtfully, Morgan’s parents and sister came along to help take care of Gus (you’ll soon see in the images below, how the little guy tried to steal Morgan and John’s spotlight).

We are honored to be documenting Morgan and John’s upcoming December wedding. With Morgan’s attention to detail, the couple’s sweet personalities, and the overflowing love they share, I’m sure it will be an unforgettable event!

Klout | 30 Day Vlog Challenge -Day 11

To say that creating a vlog daily is difficult…is a major understatement. I have so many ideas and topics I’d like to share with all of you, but finding the time to prepare, edit, and get creative with these vlogs on top of my ‘normal’ workload is going to take some skills (and heavy prayers). If you’ve been keeping up with the vlogs here or here, I thank you tremendously.

3 Women that Inspire me | 30 Day Vlog Challenge -Day 5

A few things I’ve learned from video blogging for five days straight:
1. I’m really, really not a morning person.
2. My spanish accent may be a bit stronger than I thought.
3. A 2 minute video may take at least 6 hours to edit (New found appreciation for cinematographers!)
4. I move my hands a lot. Seriously.
