Jessica and Jessie met 6 years ago while out with mutual friends but didn’t see each other again until years later when they walked down the aisle together…as best man and maid of honor for his brother’s wedding, that is. Destiny and their friends played an important role in these two lovebirds finally hitting it off and they have been inseparable ever since! Jessie adores everything about Jessica, including her 20 different laughs and how he can annoy her by interrupting when she’s in mid-sentence. On the other hand, Jessica loves teasing Jessie about being much more older and wiser then him, since she’s a whopping 2 years older, oh my! Spend a few minutes with these two and you’ll soon figure out that they are not only head over heels in love, but destined for each other.
Due to Jessie’s obligations in the Air Force, their December wedding had to be moved up to October just a few weeks ago. It warms my heart to see how Jessica and Jessie work together to stay positive and plan their special day. I know with their loving family and friends and their amazing attention to details, Jessica and Jessie’s wedding is going to be a beautiful celebration of their love. We are honored and can’t wait to be there to document every moment!
We had such a great time getting to know Jessica and Jessie a little more and capturing their engagement images at the stunning Bok Tower Gardens this month. Here are a few of our favs!

With 3,913,642 views, I’m sure you’ve seen this video before. But, I feel compelled to share this on our blog. Especially for my two kiddos to see at some time in their future. The guy’s hilarious and definitely has a point. In our generation, it seems the more we have, the more we want the more we feel that we deserve. For instance, I woke up this morning to my Facebook newsfeed cluttered with hundreds of negative comments concerning some changes the social media site made. Don’t get me wrong, I completely understand. I’m not too keen on unexpected changes either but the morning events definitely got me thinking. What if Facebook just shut down completely? I mean, it is free. What did we gripe about before Facebook or what medium did we use to voice out our frustrations? What if we weren’t allowed to voice out our opinions?
What are your thoughts?
When I came across this video this morning, it made me laugh hysterically but it also made me realize a lot of things that I take for granted. So, in the future if you’re sitting next to me on a plane, fair warning, I’ll probably yell out, “Oh my GOD, WOW!” as the plane takes off. ;)
As we waited for Danny and Kristin in the large lobby of Caesars Palace, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of privilege. In just a few minutes, Khaled and I would be photographing this sweet couple’s first day as husband and wife. Just hours before, they were saying their vows in front of their loving family and friends in the beautiful Juno Garden of Caesar’s Palace. Later, dancing their hearts out at their reception and celebrating the start of their life together as one. Khaled and I are usually documenting those moments. You can imagine what a unique and different experience it was to be ‘guests’ at our client’s ceremony (believe me, it took all my will-power to not start clicking away) and to meet with Kristin and Danny the next day, after all those emotions and happiness settled in their hearts and they started their first day of the rest of their married life together.
Kristin, a photographer and Danny, an account manager at Apple (what an awesome combo!) live in Chicago and chose Vegas for their destination wedding. When Kristin booked our services in June 2010, Kismis Ink was only six months old. We were thrilled and humbled that a fellow photographer trusted us and admired our work when we were just getting our feet wet in the industry. Little did they know, how important their special weekend and Vegas was to us.
We started their new Mr. & Mrs. session in the stunning gardens of Caesar’s Palace. It.was.hot. Literally, the Vegas summer heat was trying to melt us but Kristin and Danny were such troopers! We headed to the luxuriously modern and chic, The Cosmopolitan, but not before grabbing a few shots at the Bellagio and some more on our walk through the Vegas strip. We were greeted at The Cosmopolitan not only with heavenly air-conditioning, but also with a stunning display of luminous beaded curtains of light! The Chandelier was an architect’s (and photographer’s) wonderland. We found a few secret hideaways within the resort and this lovely couple came across more than a handful of admirers and well-wishers. Let’s not forget the Vegas tourists aka paparazzi equipped with phone cameras and all!
We had an unforgettable time with Kristin and Danny and our weekend in Vegas! A blog post about our adventures in Vegas will be following soon.
Kristin and Danny, we thank you for inviting us to be part of such a special weekend. We hope every day is happier than the previous for you both and that all your dreams come true.

I LOVE this image I grabbed of Danny! Khaled was taking a portrait of Kristin and Danny snuck out his iPhone to snap a picture of his new wife…awwww!

Isn’t Danny and Kristin’s program absolutely adorable?! That’s Toby, their little baby and although the credits in the back say that it was designed by Danny and Kristin, a little birdie told me Kristin did all the work, lol!

I admit it. Receiving UPS packages and snail mail MAKES.MY.DAY. Since I was a teen one of my favorite times of the day was when the mailman came. It ignites a ‘Christmas morning’ feeling in me, every time. I even fantasized about becoming a mail-person…or an elf. So, you can imagine how much I love this part of my job. But, what I never expected was to open up the packages and fall even more in love with our clients’ wedding albums.
To see their unique wedding story spilled across the beautiful pages and hold these memories in my hand makes me all sorts of happy. Delivering wedding images on a disc could never give me that same feeling. Never. Clients trust us and hire us for our artful eye. Our visual interpretation of their special day. A day full of dedication, love, happiness, and endless hours of preparation.
These gorgeous books allow us to pull everything together and complete our vision. Albums are the tangible reward of all the efforts, love, happiness, and endless hours of preparation that are part of the wedding story.
Thank you Graphistudio for your amazing customer service, your quality, and your dedication to making sure we have the best to offer and our clients are happy. A huge thank you to all our clients for trusting our vision for one of the most important days of their lives.
