We have been dying to share this out-of-this-world engagement session! You may remember this gorgeous couple from our Most Unique Proposal Contest last year. Friends, families, and our readers chose which one of the three couples had the most unique proposal and who would win their wedding photography with us. Their proposal story was very unique and although they did not win the contest, we were thrilled when Ariel & Keith chose us as their wedding photographers!
Ariel & Keith are a very hands-on, nature-lovin’, creative duo and knew they wanted to incorporate their wedding theme throughout their engagement images! The location they chose matched their characters perfectly! Although it was a very, very cold day, we were able to have fun, capture their sweet moments, and bring their love story to a visual life! The signs you’ll see throughout the images, were created by Keith and painted by his mom. The signs will be posted throughout their wedding! Aren’t they adorable? If you head to the website (http://arielandkeith.kismisink.com/) we created for the couple, you can see more gorgeous images from their session and the different signs, including a Save-The-Date and We are getting married sign. I thought it was very clever of them to bring the signs along and incorporate the images to announce their wedding!
The feathers, vases, and candles are also part of their wedding decor, and I am in love with their colors and style!
If I had to choose my favorite part of the session, I would have to say it is the scariest part too! Ariel & Keith decided it was a great idea to sit in a tree that branches out directly above a suspended bridge (I am not even sure how high in the air, but it was very high) in the middle of river rapids below! Khaled had to stand on the ledge of the bridge to grab the shots and as I stood on the bridge trembling, watching them, I had several horrible scenarios play out…but thankfully, it was over very quickly! The reason that it’s my favorite part of the session is because we were able to visually document Ariel and Keith’s adventurous nature and I hope that throughout the years, they will look at those images and remember the excitement of that day!
Ariel and Keith, we are so happy for you both and look forward to your special day!
The vivid colors, the Indian vibes that just seeped into your skin and made you want to move your body in that mesmerizing rhythm, the gorgeous one-of-a-kind pieces by K.Hendrix…I just can’t seem to pick my favorite part of Vertical Tampa Bay Magazine’s So Not Sari event at PUSH Ultra Lounge! The fashion show was absolutely stunning with 12 unique pieces by Kimberly Hendrix that were auctioned later in the evening with fifty percent of the proceeds benefiting a local organization that assists homeless children in our Tampa Bay area. Khaled & I had such a great time meeting new faces, enjoying some delicious dishes by Puff ’n Stuff Catering and taking in the stunning roof-top view of downtown St. Pete! A huge thanks to Leslie, the publisher and creative director of Vertical, for inviting us to be part of this event and for all she does to share the beauty of our community! We were honored to share our evening with these amazing people, not only because it benefits children in need of care and homes, but also because of the story of generosity behind the event. The guest of honors, the amazing ladies that donated the Sari fabrics so that Kimberly could create her magical pieces, set off a domino effect of kindness that I hope continues on and on, past our community and into the hearts of many!
Khaled was able to take some quick shots of the night to share with our readers and to remind us of how much fun we had that night! Enjoy!
P.S. This awesome cd (and flower) was a gift to the attendees that night and I have been playing it in my car ever since! It’s addicting! CD mix created by: Son Of Maestro

She’s in Canada. He’s in California. They tie the knot this April here in Florida, where there love story began ten years ago. Matt’s in the Marine’s and due to his duties, this sweet couple has had to really manage their time and travels wisely. They could only squeeze in their engagement session one evening in late November, when they were both in Florida visiting for Thanksgiving (while multi-tasking and wedding planning)! The weather was overcast, windy and freezing-but we managed to have lots of laughs and a great time! The super-talented Holly Nazario, from Collective Creations did Yomi’s gorgeous hair and makeup. We are excited to be part of Yomi and Matt’s special day and we are sure all of their hard work will result in an unforgettable wedding day! Enjoy some of our favorites from their lovely e-session.

Today, my parents celebrate their 33rd wedding anniversary. As I let that number settle in my mind, I become awe-struck! Thirty-three years?! Thats 12,045 days! (if I did the math correctly, lol).
Years of happiness, hardship, sickness, good times, sadness, laughter, anger, new life and the passing of loved ones, enduring all of this…side-by-side. It is a blessing to see their example of unity. I am thankful and look forward to seeing my parents celebrate many more anniversaries together! God bless them very much!
Here’s a few pics we took of them on Christmas day. My mother is so camera shy that I was thrilled to finally get her in front of my lens!
P.S. Can you tell that they are 24 years apart?! Yes, you read that right! My father is 24 years older than my mom…all this math is giving me a headache!

Well, at least that’s how the Mosli’s roll! One day out of the year is simply not enough to define our love. Although, I must admit, those chocolate-covered strawberries and beautiful card filled with my love’s sweet words on V-day truly rock my world! However, this Valentine’s Day will be very special for Kismis Ink and we can’t wait to share with you why!
To get that “love is in the air” energy going on our blog, we decided to share a bit about our love story {insert romantic sigh here} and have a little comment fun!
Born in California, I have been living in Florida since I was two years old. Khaled & I met in 2007 at a sweet little French bistro, La Creperia, ironically situated in one of the most popular locations for photo sessions, Ybor City. Khaled, originally from Saudi Arabia, was living here in Tampa while completing his master’s degree at USF. It was love at first sight, or should I say inseparable at first sight?! Ha! If we were not spending time together, we were on the phone (together). On March 14, 2009, we tied the knot and, how does that saying go, the rest is history…
Now you know a bit about us, let’s hear about you! Share with us, where did you and your other half fall in love? Were you both from thousands of miles away, next door neighbors, somewhere in between, or are you still searching for your other half?
Leave us some comment love & just for fun, we will randomly choose one (heck, maybe even two) comment(s) on Tuesday, Feb. 8th and send the winner(s) some Valentine’s goodies!
We will send an email to the winner(s) for a mailing address to mail the goodies. We will also post who won on our facebook page, so be sure to find us there. For those not on FB (really?) :-)
P.S. Are you lovin’ the new blog style? We are totally swooning over the horizontal look! Happy V-day!
